Honored to bring honor...

As many of you know on April 3rd Tommy had an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to save a man's life at a gas station who was in full cardiac arrest. The Lord orchestrated the whole situation and it has been an immense blessing to all involved. We were able to sit with the family, hear their story, how she pleaded with the Lord and he answered all of her prayers! Mr. Euwers walked out of MUSC and is doing wonderfully at home! Last Thursday Tommy and three other citizens were recognized by the fire chief and the North Charleston City Counci meeting. What an amazing honor to be described as the type of person that makes Charleston what is is, what they would hope all citizens would strive to be. MY husband, the father of MY children.. My heart was so full.. Tommy was the first to be acklowdeged and then they ask him to speak, something he was not prepared to do. All Tommy said was that the Lord orchestrated the whole thing.. God was in control that day and that Tommy was mearley his vessel.. He was honored to bring honor to our Lord. I was and am so proud!

Thomas is 7!

Happy Birthday my sweet Thomas! We celebrated with friends and family on Saturday and had a great time! Each year I say this is the last big party and the next year we have another. It's always so fun to see everyone and get to fellowship.
Father Shay the former camp directore keeping a close watch..
Thomas wanted a pool party so this was the closest we could come!
West and his best friend Cate!
One picture for each of the 7 years of his life.. So fun to look back!
I love the way Thomas' cake turned out! I am so thankful for Grace who helps me each birthday!

Normal pictures are near impossible these days! 7 is a "cheesey" age..

Hartley has been on my hip for days, on Saturday she only walked about 10 minutes all day. Here she is eating total junk and GLUTEN! Whatever would get her to sit alone and not cry I was whiling to do it..

Thomas is nearly 7!

How in the world has my sweet tiny 5 pound 15 ounce baby about to be 7 on the 12th? I feel like in some ways he has been here forever and in other ways it was just yesterday! We just adore every fiber in Thomas sweet little peitite body. I feel like all of our hard work over the last 7 years has finally paid off. Thomas is everything I want him to be, respectful, answers adults, kind, chearful, the way he talks to Harltley just melts my heart, he shares ( for the most part), does well in school, loves the piano, (had his first recitale today!) tries new things, eats well, enjoys soccer, rides a 2 wheeler, loves to swim, still wants to snuggle with me, loves Jesus and so much more! I am so so thankful for the gift that he is! Tommy and I pray prayers of blessing and protection over his sweet heart!! Often times people say you can see their personality by now, I hope so because Thomas is such a joy! Big news for the birthday boy is that he is FINALLY getting a booster seat!! No more 5 pt harness for Thomas as soon as his new seat arrives.. He has been very patiently waiting and finally the year has come. Granted it's a high back, latch booster seat by Sunshine kids but the important thing is that he will finally get a new car seat after 6 1/2 years of being in his marathon. I def think we got our money out of that one! Thomas had his first recitale today and did wonderful, we are so so proud!

Spring break 2012!

We truly live in paradise. Several beach days already this year, a fun day on the boat with friends yesterday and more! The weather has already been warm and we've all enjoyed it! Spring break takes on a whole new meaning when you have a child in all day school.. I loved having everyone here over the last week and am counting down the days to summer break!

17months!

How in the world is Hartley 17 months already? Over all she's pretty happy these days since she started walking but can still really have some rough days.. She is def walking everywhere and loves to climb on the couch, table, into the car etc. Hartley is pretty rough with her brothers' hair and the dogs.. We've just started to really work on "being gentle" and she's finally getting it. Loves her baby, especially her baby Anna, and her little purses. Anything the boys have, their dsi, the wii remote, their legos. Doesn't really play but toddles around all day causing destruction as she goes, yanks out the Tupperware, dumps out a drawer, knocks the magazines over, etc.. She says, Mama, dadda, bubba, ball, no no, hi, eat, please. (all of these her 17 month old version mind you.) She can sign all done, more and please. Big news is that she loves the potty and actually tee tee ed on it last weekend! We adore her and am so thankful that the Lord has entrusted us with her. Can't believe we are creeping towards 2 years old! She still seems like a baby to me though, still rear facing and just looks babyish to me, 21 pounds, beautiful blonge curly hair and brown eyes.

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess!

We had so much fun celebrating Dr. Suess this year! We made a fun snack for Thomas' class and went to read Red Fish, Blue Fish to them!
