Tonight we went downtown to the Seacoast Volunteer picnic at Brittlebank Park and then to the boys 1st RiverDogs Baseball game. It was Thomas and West's 1st time. Overall it went very well, after Tommy chased Thomas around for 20 mins and he jumped in the air jump castles he was finally ready to sit down, well stand, and eat some Italian Ice and hang out with his buddies Rory and Jakob. "Onas at home sweeping" translation, their younger sister Iona was at home already asleep. Have I told you I have an awesome husband? Well I do! And he loves to carry West around, which gives me a break and West loves to be carried especially by daddy! Hope you all enjoy our sweet pictures from tonight!

Movie in Summerville
Today we went to Summerville to see "Charlotte's Web". We again lasted about an hour, and we have this movie at home, so I was not surprised that Thomas got a little bored. West did well but was really talkative so Jasmine stood on the side with him so I could cuddle up with Thomas. I think having two that has to be the most difficult part. I would love to just take Thomas along but I can't leave West that long and a movie is definitely not exciting for a 7 month old. After we went to Chick Fa lae in Summerville for some fries and to play a little.

Please pray for this family and their twin girls!

Going Green!
My hope for this is that we can share with each other how we are going "green". These are the things that work for our family! Can't wait to hear what works for yours!
1. Breastfeeding, saves bottles, water, cans of formula, really impacts the whole world, if more people breastfed there would be healthier children, less visits to the Doctors, less people receiving free formula from WIC, hence less formula cans etc.. Really it would save the world billions of dollars each year.
2. Recycling everything that we can
3. Cloth diapers, need I say more?
4. I use a product called a "Diva Cup", if you want to know what it is just google it, saves a ton of money and, well, just go read about it!
5. No plastic sippy cups
6. We only buy organic and shop places like Whole foods that supports local farmers, when they can.
7. We use cloths, like napkins and old baby wash cloths to clean with and wipe Thomas down with, saves a TON of paper towels.
8. We use those light bulbs, not sure what they are called.
9. We "try" not to touch our thermostat once we have it set on something.
10. Don't leave water running while brushing our teeth, try to do only larger loads of laundry and run the dishwasher when it is full.
11. Buy recycled paper for the printer, recycled paper towels and toliet paper.
12. Recycle old cell phones, printer cartridges, etc..
13. We have half a dozen cloth grocery bags that we take when we go shopping. You would not believe what fits into a few cloth bags vs plastic bags, a $150.00 shop fits into 5 of our bags, if we were using plastic it would be 15 plastic bags or so, less trips in from the car too!
14. We use Vinegar and water to clean with and or safe products from Eart Fare that dont release those chemicals into the atmosphere. ( I remembered this just now as I was scrubbing the crayons off of the kitchen table! )
What about you? Can't wait to hear!!

Out to dinner
We can count the number of tames we have been out to dinner since West was born on one hand. It has just not been something fun for anyone involved, especially the other diners in the restaurant. Tonight the weather was yucky so we decided to try the Gluten Free menu at Chilies. We had a great time, Thomas had his video so he was good to go and West did great!
Look at West during his nap, isn't he sweet! And then after when he was having some cuddles with Tommy on the couch.

Sigg cups
No more plastic sippy cups around here! I am finished with these plastic scares that keep popping up. We are slowly moving towards safer things, toys, cups, etc..We started out with some foogo thermos cups but were not a fan of the ones you order from target.com, I need to check the regular target store. We do like these Sigg cups, although they do not stay cold too long they will fit in my stroller cup holders which is a must. Have you tried them?
A box and a sand box...
Want to know how to keep a 3 year old happy? A sand box and a box. Our new diapers came today and Thomas had that best time playing with the box. Look at the smile on West's face, he was staring up at Thomas with the box on his head, he is starting to watch Thomas and just lights up when he sees him! We have decided to go back to cloth bc our grocery bill has doubled bc of Thomas' special diet.Using Cloth saves a lot of money, buying those diapers every 2 weeks really adds up! I am excited to be back in the cloth world bc I was feeling great guilt over diapering 2 little boys. Our family is pretty "green" and the amount of stuff I was adding to the landfills was very unsettling to me.

Pool Day at Village Green
Today we met Chara and Riley at the pool for some fun. It was a great day to be outside and that little Riley is such a cutie, and sweet.. I did not get any "pool" pictures but just a few as we were leaving. Thomas is really into this "orange dip" and "orange chips", roasted red pepper hummus and gf cheese puffs from whole foods.
The other picture is Thomas "fixing" the swing today, can you see all his tools out Jennie? Thank you!!
And West is eating a piece of Melon in his mesh feeder, we are not doing traditional baby foods just some solid stuff when he can he it- He loved it, took him about 30 mins to eat it!
