Pumpkin Pictures 2008

For 4 years now Jodie and I have taken the children to get their pictures taken at the Pumpkin Patch. It is so much fun to go back and look at all the fun photos we have and how the children have changed. ( If you go to the end of the blog and click October of last year you can see the ones there).

Fall afternoon...

We had a nice fall afternoon here at our house. Caroline was here for a little while while Jodie was at the Dr and then we went outside to play and for Thomas to ride his bike. He has really gotten good at peddling now! Westy, he can eat and eat and eat. Tonight he had, mac & cheese, a WHOLE sweet potato, and a handful of blueberries! Check out that mess!!

EBC Fall Festival!

We had the most fun tonight! We went over to the ECB Fall Festival and then to our friend Michael and Kristen's house for Michael's 40th bday party:) The boys were both Winnie the Pooh this year. ( both costumes scored at the charity shop for under $10.00 for both!) Thomas had the most fun on the slide, jumping castle, train ride and trunk or treating, this year he finally got it:) A side note though, I am really glad that Halloween will be over soon. Thomas has been talking a lot about Monsters, even waking in the night talking about them, when he ask about them or ghosts, we give him the same response, "Monsters/Ghosts are not real, JESUS is real!" We don't do the whole scary stuff and wont allow the boys to participate like that when they are older. Enjoy the slide show and the picture from last year, hard to believe that last year Westy was still in my belly!

Slogger!

My friend Carrie Davis came up with this term, slack-blogger. I think this is the longest I have ever gone with out blogging ever, 6 whole days!! I am really sorry:) We are all fine, although I have been sick, not sure what is was/is might have even been a little of the flue? We are doing well though. Gearing up for Westy's 1st birthday party on the 15th, Halloween, Carnivals, Party at school etc. Thank you all for sticking around through my slogging this week. I promise a fun update tomorrow after a fall festival tomorrow night!

Children's Festival at Park West

Today we went out to the Children's Festival at Park West. We had a nice time but it was also alittle stressful..I guess this was our first real festival type deal since Thomas was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Although I had snacks he really wanted a hot dog like the other children. I went from vendor to vendor looking at the packages that they had. All of them were "Nathans" and all Nathan's beef hotdogs have wheat in them, why I do not know!?! Also many of the lines there for jumping castles and slides were dozens deep, I bet the big slide was 100 deep, way to long for a 3.5 old to wait, Thomas really did not understand why one earth we would have to wait so long. He did have a nice time running in this little race, riding on the train and playing in the firetrucks!
A few high lights of our weekend. Thomas got some Thomas the Train rain boots that he has not taken off! You will see them in all of these pictures:) Also, Westy waved for the first time tonight! We were heading to bed and I waved at daddy as we went down the hall, Westy then waved too! Such a sweet boy!!
Sadly we also said goodbye to my dear friend Carolyn and her boys today. We love you Carolyn and pray God's biggest blessings on the new chapter in your lives!

Thomas' Fall Festival

Today we had Thomas' Fall Festival at school. I volunteered at the Fishing Booth all morning. Westy was great, he rode in the Ergo most of the morning and even took a nap on my back for the last hour. The children had a great time. They played at all of those booths, had a hayride, took a group picture! Afterwards we got some lunch and met Mrs. Jodie and Caroline at the park, what a fun day!

Another afternoon at the park..

We just love the park, the weather has been so nice so we have been going daily when we can, especially after all the rain we had last weekend! Westy climbed the whole slide today, several times, we like to call him "monkey in training #2!" Also the group picture is of our small group, my dear friend Carolyn is moving away on Sunday and we were grateful to get a group shot tonight:)

Monday

We watched baby Hugh again today for Caroyn, isnt he precious? Such an easy going laid back baby:) After naps this afternoon we headed out to the park to burn off some energy, Thomas does not normally nap but fell asleep today on the couch. We had such a great time at the park, the weather was so nice. Thomas makes friends so easily, he and this little boy Jackson were running all around with those "monster trucks". He's so funny he said to me " I need some water meme, lets sit down for a little while." After the park we had Chick Fa la for dinner bc daddy was working late, once he again me made friends right away. Too funny though on the way out the door it was really dark, he kept asking me questions about the dark, monsters, the moon, going to bed bc the sun was not up etc. Once we got home he ran to the door, he was really alittle nervous. I guess bc he goes to bed at six most nights the dark threw him for a loop?

The not so park day...

I was so disappointed when it rained all day today. I love park day, probably more than the children and love the photos that we get even more. Sadly the weather did not work out for us to go. We drove over there, unloaded the 4 children in between rain storms, as soon as we started to head towards the park day event it really started to pour so we loaded back up and came on home. We have had a lot of fun with Evan and Hugh though, the big boys have really enjoyed playing trains & the babies have been crawling around and playing with toys. Tommy got a corniol abrasion on his eye and had to wear this patch for 24 hours, thankfully he is feeling better now.

Fun with the Wimberlys!

This afternoon we went out to the Wimberly's house for a picture party. William and Thomas were in music class a couple of years ago so it was really fun to get them together again. Its funny because they look so much alike and both have blood sugar issues, William has type 1. Susie has been such a blessing to me during this time with Thomas answering all my questions. Sally Clarke and West had some fun also, sharing toys and playing with the other children.

Westy 10 months!

The fall weather is back!

Yay the fall weather is back! It is so nice to be outside! We have had a really nice day. We had lunch with Caroline and Mrs. Jodie and then went to the park. The pictures from at home are when West had woken up from his nap, he really is the happiest little boy! Then the others shots are from all the "fires" I was putting out before 7am. I can not count the number of times a day I find Thomas on the kitchen counters..then he dumped all my clean washing out all over the bed. God love him! Tommy is gone most days now from about 7-7 and he has a whole new found respect for what I do all day, with no nap anymore it is non stop until Thomas goes to bed. More big news, Thomas just said he needed to go tee tee and went and did it all by himself! We might be getting closer.. ( side note..Thomas dressed himself again today..)
