The rest of the week, Kanuga!

We have had the most wonderful week. The children have played more here this week than all summer combined! Camp every day, 3 meals a day cooked and cleaned by someone else! Family square dance, game night, wall climbing, arts and crafts, fun run and road race, white water rafting, high ropes course, carnival, fun friends, life long memoires and more! Kanuga is a special place;) Tommy got 2nd in the road race this year, 2nd fastest runner all summer!

What a blessing to be back at Kanuga for our 3rd year! I will tell you though that it is HOT! Today is better but yesterday even here in the mountains we had a heat index of 105! The children and Tommy are napping right now after playing and swimming all day long. We are so thankful to have this beautiful place to retreat too:)

Summer update!

We have had a busy and fun summer! Tommy is finishing up his 2nd semester of College and working towards his Electrical Engineering degree. It will be about three more years but it has been fun to start! The fall will mark his 3rd semester as a full time student, and dad, and husband, and yard man, babysitter, Electrician etc etc..
Thomas has been to two sessions of Vacation Bible School and loves it! He really gets into singing and being with his friends. We adore him and his sweet spirit! He swims like a fish and enjoys doing front flips off the side of the pool Although it is a totally love-hate relationship, it wouldn't be right for me not to mention his favorite past time...The WII...:) We have to set strict limits but he does love it and enjoys playing when it's too hot outside to do anything else!
West is talking up a storm. He was a late talker and it has been fun to listen to what he has to say now! He has finally starting saying his name, "Westy", and will respond, "Yes mam", "No mam" and other things like "Not yet" all through out the day. He is obsessed with my tummy and can not wait for baby sister to "come out!" He is making great strides in the nursery and I am confident that he will eventually learn to love preschool in the fall. He talks about wanting to stay at Bible School with Bubba and for the first time this weekend stayed in the nursery happily with out Jasmine.
The baby is doing well. This pregnancy has been really different than the boys. One side effect has been MUCH lower weight gain. I don' think this has anything to do with the baby being a girl but rather our gluten free lifestyle and more activity. I am slowing down a bit and not wanting to walk as much as I did. I still feel "good", just not my normal self.
The house has been a huge and necessary project with number three coming! We are dried in and Tommy is roofing this weekend. Please pray with me that this goes well! lol- Our project will be done by the time she comes. Stay tuned for more pictures!
