Raining and cooler here again today. Although I was bummed we couldn't go the beach I'll take the cooler temps as they are so unusual for this time of year... It really feels like a summer afternoon in the mountains, totally bizarre! Our odd weather is courtesy of a tropical storm, Derby I believe. We've had a good week. Love sweet summertime! Thomas got his first first place last Thursday at his swim meet, they swim again tonight and he's excited! It's been wonderful to watch him improve each week.
Fun pool date with our friends from Thomas' 2 year old class at Westminster! So neat we still get together!

I nurse and rock little miss to sleep for every bedtime and nap time. What a sweet time it is, just she and I and the hum of her noise maker... She props her feet on my leg just like this each time...
Sporting our 4th of July stuff a little early!
More sweet nap time moments with Hartley.
This was the first time ever any of my children have had their faces painted. Face painting and tattoos were something neither were interested in. West was so excited to have a          doggy! Isn't he sweet?

This sweet little boy is quit the miracle.. My friend Lisa lost her daughter at 30ish weeks due to IUGR, it was awful, terrible, heart breaking.. This little one, baby Brenden comes on the heals of that loss, we are all so thankful for him!
Hartley has her eyes closed here but isn't she cute in the water! She loves it!
West just loves to dress up! Today he put his doggie costume on and Hartley's on hers also. They were both running around barking like little dogs. I could eat them up!

A week in review

Last week was so rainy and cool here. Many days we were stuck inside and would sneak out to inbetween showers to only have a few minutes before they would return. Our temps have really been more mountainlike and not Charleston summerlike. Although we like the cooler temps we were ready for the rain to go away and come again another day! We also saw Mrs. Viv last week. We could only get in a couple of days becasue of the weather and she was sick. West is doing great, swimming under water and isn't afraid. Not water safe but doing well for 4.5, still prefers the swimmie but will take it off gladly and swim when you are with him. No pictures or videos this year..
Sleepy West on a rainy day, never naps but we both took one togther that day!

Rainy day legos and computer games...

Out of no where a couple of weeks ago West said in the Chick fil a line, "Momma, order me a salad please!" And there you have it, my first salad eater! Enjoying my chicken salad salad at the I'on home meet last week.

My sweet Hartley in her cute Lilly dress at the home swim meet. Clear gatorade! I was so exicted to find something that wouldn't stain!

Hartley's friend McCrae at the pool. Not too sure about sharing his coke icy with Hartley, she was persistent though!

My very very homemade icecream cookie cake for Father's day. Home.made!

Tommy and his dad on Father's Day. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of our children with Tommy but thankful for ths one of he and his father.

My sweet momma, sister and our neighbor Mrs. Ginny that we love having a visit before lunch.

My children love the beach and they are at great age for it this year. Our favorite summer spot, Sullivan's Isalnd 22.5 at low tide.

Need to add her monogram to this suit but she is precious nonetheless. Hair in pony tail, how did she get to be so big? Two years old this September!

Love love this sweet boy and am so thankful to have him home this summer with us. He discovered the joys of drip castles this afternoon. Even made one on himself!

Summer in full swing!

Summer is in full swing here. Although we have had cooler and wetter conditions then normal we've been having fun! Thomas is swimming for I'on this summer and is doing well. I can already see an improvement after just two weeks. He had his first meet last night and I had tears in my eyes as he was competing for the first time. A child old enough to swim on a team? How in the world? Although he isn't the most athletic child I am always so so proud of him for just trying and being there with a smile on his face!!
Is there anything cuter? I could eat him up!
Thomas and Caroline were each others first friends... I love all of our sweet pictures of them over the last 7 years.
Kate and West, such sweeties and good chealeaders!

Last week we had our church service out at Camp St. Christopher and then spent the afternoon on the beach with some of our church pals. Fun fun time!

As I said it has been much much cooler than normal. Hartley and West were freazing at swim team this week as was Thomas when he got out of the pool!
Sweet friends all cleaned up and ready to go home!

Honored to bring honor...

As many of you know on April 3rd Tommy had an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to save a man's life at a gas station who was in full cardiac arrest. The Lord orchestrated the whole situation and it has been an immense blessing to all involved. We were able to sit with the family, hear their story, how she pleaded with the Lord and he answered all of her prayers! Mr. Euwers walked out of MUSC and is doing wonderfully at home! Last Thursday Tommy and three other citizens were recognized by the fire chief and the North Charleston City Counci meeting. What an amazing honor to be described as the type of person that makes Charleston what is is, what they would hope all citizens would strive to be. MY husband, the father of MY children.. My heart was so full.. Tommy was the first to be acklowdeged and then they ask him to speak, something he was not prepared to do. All Tommy said was that the Lord orchestrated the whole thing.. God was in control that day and that Tommy was mearley his vessel.. He was honored to bring honor to our Lord. I was and am so proud!

Thomas is 7!

Happy Birthday my sweet Thomas! We celebrated with friends and family on Saturday and had a great time! Each year I say this is the last big party and the next year we have another. It's always so fun to see everyone and get to fellowship.
Father Shay the former camp directore keeping a close watch..
Thomas wanted a pool party so this was the closest we could come!
West and his best friend Cate!
One picture for each of the 7 years of his life.. So fun to look back!
I love the way Thomas' cake turned out! I am so thankful for Grace who helps me each birthday!

Normal pictures are near impossible these days! 7 is a "cheesey" age..

Hartley has been on my hip for days, on Saturday she only walked about 10 minutes all day. Here she is eating total junk and GLUTEN! Whatever would get her to sit alone and not cry I was whiling to do it..
