We have had such a fun packed day! Haircuts for the boys, Christopher's 3rd bday party and the Strawberry Festival at Boone Hall! Thomas had sooo much fun! He rode the Carosel, jumped in the air jump castle, did the air jump castle slide and picked strawberrys! I wish I could show you the pictures bc they are amazing!West was great he just slept and nursed in the sling and watched the show. We met the Mchenrys out there and it was good to see them also. Thomas also had a snow cone and of course he loved that also! The weather in Charleston is amazing right now, 80ish and so nice! We are ready for summer! What a blessed day we have had!
Oh this is funny, I went to eat a strawberry so that Thomas would know that you could eat them not just pick them and he said " no meme don't eat it, its dirty!" You are right Thomas we don't normally eat things with out washing them first!
"For I know the plan I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

I thought I had posted the other day..Where is my mind bc the post is not her? Ummm..I wanted to share that Thomas was in the backard, as he calls it the other day and Georgia had eaten one of his "shobuls" translation, shovel, anyway..I could hear him saying " I am telling on you!" when he came inside he never said anything about it, so I am guessing that he has heard someone at preschool saying, "I'm telling on you!" but not know what it means..? Very sweet none the less though!
Today after school we had Mrs. Jodie and Carline over to play, Caroline is THomas longest known friend..They have been getting together since they were only a few months old..They had a great time playing in the sand box and in Thomas' room also.
STill no computer so I borrow the neighbors at night..hence no pictures..I have them all though on the camera and hopefully will update picture wise again soon!

Tommy and Thomas have been working on Thomas' bday present all day, a sandbox, Thomas does not understand bdays or really presents so it is fun to watch him be so involved in his own present. He is having the best time measuring, hammering, all fun things to a nearly 3 year old. He is talking up a storm, he told me today, " Just a minute!" then later he said " What are you talking about?" and then I was making a salad and cutting a cucumber and he said, "What are you doing with Veggie Tales, you cutting Larry!?!" This is a great age!

Gotta be quick! Please pray for Thomas my little espace artist, he is sneaking out, well not really but he can unlock all the doors and is OUTSIDE, in the FRONT YARD, by HIMSELF!!! and it scares me to death..I do not know he is out there until he rings the bell to come back in, he has only been out there maybe 5 minutes before but still long enough for something really bad to happen to him! Please pray God's protection over him..oh please pray...
Other than escaping he is so sweet, he told me today, " show me which one me me" he is all about getting things out of the fridge and decided to cook eggs while I was nursing West down yesterday..yeah..eggs, raw eggs,. need I say more?
West is great, just sweet old West!
Today we had Chara, baby Rylie and their dog Sampson over for dog/baby playdate, although a bit crazy it was great hanging out with them, Chara is very sweet and baby Rylie is sooo handsome!
Gotta go, have a blessed night!

Lots of journeying until we get a new computer to be able to post picts, let me assure you the boys are as cute as always!
Today Thomas went back to school and did great! Makes me so thankful that I listened to him when he said he did not want to go and that I listened to my heart. He indeed did have the stomach bug but is better now!
Sweet West had his portrait made today at Tumbleston Photography. We took him to be shot in his dedication gown that we all wore, my dad wore etc..West is named for my dad and grandfather. I took the photo in bc I wanted to try to recreate the photo for West like the one with my dad. Lo and behold they had almost the same setup with pillows for West that looked just like the ones in the photo. As I watched the assistant lay West down to start taking photos I was overwhelmed with emotions watching him, seeing my dad for a minute, West does look just like him, imaging my grandmother doing the same with my dad..Tears filled my eyes as I watched him smile up a storm..God is good and faithful to have revealed this gown when he did and for West of all people. His timing is always right on time!
Have I said that Thomas is not napping anymore? I know I have...I have learned to look at this time as special time with him. Just he and I bc daddy is at work and West is asleep. We watch tv, and hang out, kinda having our own quiet time. He is so sweet these days and full of BIG, did I say BIG 3 year old emotions..He has been trying to sing "Pharaoh Pharaoh" and all sorts of songs from his Billy Jonas cd.
He told his teachers today, " Where is Me Me?" Laura ( his teacher) said "I don't know?" He said, "hmm, wonder what she is doing.." too funny...
We had Jennie and Jake over to play yesterday, we just love them so much!
Daddy had a soccer game and they WON!
I was encouraged this weekend by our dear friends the Mchenrys to acknowelde when Satan may have a foothold into your life..Something happened recently and I was really hurt.. I felt like Satan had been knocking on my door for some time now and slowly the door had been opening for him, this happened and BOOM..He was in..through out some time in prayer and with my awesome husband and friends, I feel renewed once again, I have been claiming these things over and over again, can you join me?
I am Child of the most high God!
I have a friend in Jesus!
Our God is an Awesome God!

Much better day today, I have really been out of it and feeling very overwhelmed all of this week and last..Maybe it is Thomas not napping anymore so I am not getting any down time? I used to have atleast a 2 hour stretch during the middle of the day when both boys would nap, I would do my computer stuff and have my quiet time. Sounds like I am going to have to find a new routine..
I had to co lead a LLL meeting today, that went well and both boys were happy. Then this afternoon I took both boys with me to get my hair cut, usualy I would leave Thomas at home with Jasmine on a Friday but she is away visiting her dad, and Tommy had to work late, so off we went. Keep in mind this a no kids salon so with a little heads up they said come on! I had both boys in the stroller, and Thomas had his dvd player with a THomas the Train movie on. Everything was fine until they went to wash my hair, it really upsett Thomas. He is in this new phase where he gets really nervous about new stuff and really old stuff too, especially when it come to mommy. He has never been with me before so he was really bothered by it... After I took them into the other room and calmed him down, started his movie, he was ok and just snuggled his blanket the whole time. West sat on my lap and just smiled at everyone has they went by. Over all it really could not have gone better..
WHen we got home I was nursing West to sleep and could hear Thomas playing in his room. I just love listening to him. "Come on Percy, lets go to the Shed..I am tird, OH NOOOOOOOOOO a crash, Thomas CRASHED!" and on and on..he is really sweet and using his imagination so much these days.
When I picked him up from nursery on 1st Wes Mrs. Jessica said that Thomas had said the sweetest thing, a little boy had taken a train from him and he said "Pleaseeeeeeee give that back to Thomas!" She said he is always so polite! Praise the Lord, I do love a child with good manners! Amazing too, if you just speak to them politely they will speak to you that way in return also. ( Well most of the time..)
West is really growing, has several "rolls" on his legs..Is smiling up a storm and does not like to be alone right now... Will do this grunting fussing thing when he is in one of his "stations", bouncy seat, exersaucer, play mat etc... I am thinking in the next month or so when he can really hold onto toys and play a little more he will be a bit happier?

We are having an odd week.. Thomas did not go to school on Tues bc it was just too much to get him out of the house..had to wake him up, West was screaming..so we stayed home. TOday I tried to take him and he freaked out. Not typical of Thomas at all so I let him come home with me. I have never and will not now leave him when he is that upsett..So I took him into the Drs bc he and West have had some weird poop stuff going on this week. It looks like they may be on the tail end of the stomach virus that is going around. While we were out we decided to go to the movies to see "Horton hears a hoo" it was really sweet and Thomas and West's first movie in a theatre. Thomas did really well for his age and West just nursed and laid in my lap the whole time. There was no one in our row so Thomas did run on the chairs a bit, I assure you though he was in good company with many other toddlers in the theatre also. I am feeling a little stretched this week...Thomas is not napping anymore and we are on week 2 of no one being 100%. Very little sleep for any of us..I hate to complain bc we are so blessed to have 2 healthy children. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with them and would not trade in my "doneness" for any amount of money. I can not imagine someone else seeing all of their "firts" all those little smile, today Thomas and I were laughing so hard bc we saying "chicken nuggets" in a funny way. We had 1st Wes last night at church and God really spoke to me during one song. There is a song that talks about " Oh no, you never let go, through the calm and through the storm, oh no, you never let go, you never let go of me!" " I can see the light that is coming, for the heart that holds on, there will be an end to this suffering but until that day comes, still I will praise you, still I will praise your name!"
Oh my friends..God is in control, in all the big things and even the little stressed out mommy days also. God's word tells us that he will never leave us, he will never forsake us, that all things work for good for those who belive in Christ Jesus, and that All things are possible with Christ!.
( Just needed to remind myself...)
