I remember 4 years ago like it was yesterday. Praying for the repeat c section that would bring us our sweet Westy. It went well, and he was the most laid back baby of the three. Just slept and ate. He was 6 pounds 7 ounces with a head full of black hair. Named after my dad and Grandfather he would be the third if he was a LaRoque. I treausured my time in the hospital with him knowing that it would be one of the only times it would be just he and I. Fast forward through the years and he was a late talker. Doing better but has begun to stutter significantly again, it doesn't seem to bother him but it makes me sad to watch him work so hard to get a sentence out. West has a heart of gold and when he hugs you, you can feel it in your soul. West has a genuiune love for so many. "Hi man!" "Hi lady!" Even one day wanting to go give the trash guys a kiss! West loves Cate, Father Shay's little girl in his class and when you ask him who was coming to his party he would say "Cate", as long as she was here he was happy. West loves ice cream and "pint movies", aka, pink smoothies from Mcdonalds. West's favoirite color is pink for sure! West has a fierce need for momma, he has a little love tank that needs to be filled often with lot's of one on one time and touch. West still toddles in our bed every night. I have learned to treasure this time with him, he'll snuggle right in and say, "night night momma!" roll over and go to sleep. West doesn't really play with toys and isn't really into anything, he loves to help with any project may it be cooking or cleaning or working in the yard. West's favorite activity of all times is do ride the lawn mower, sweet thing has to wear a mask because of his grass allergy but he lives for the time to ride with daddy or Mr. John. Always the first to offer to pray at a meal, sits super still during a hair cut, and will walk over riding in the stroller for a really long period of time. West has also brought me some worry over his short 4 years here with us. RSV at 4 weeks, multiple ER visits for croup, one hospitalization and a broken bone at 22 months. We love our Westy so much and thank God for the gift he is to us!
