Our Adventure!
Wow, today we had quit an adventure. It all started when we talking about how if we lived in a big city we would use public transportation. We decided that we would try our local system, Carta. There is a bus that stops out near our house off of 61 so at about 9:30 we headed out there to wait for the bus. My understanding was that the bus would lower all the way to the ground in order for us to push our stroller right on. Sadly that is not the case. They only lower for people who are disabled, so we had to pick the stroller up with the children in it every time we got on and off of the bus. Because that is the case it is not really an option for me on a day to day basis when Tommy is at work. We then headed to the mall to catch another bus downtown, from there we caught another bus, called the Dash, but according to Thomas, a trolley, to the Aquarium. We had a great time there and then caught the Dash back to our normal bus then back to the mall Once at the mall we decided to do some shopping and get some lunch and then head home. After we got back on the bus that would take us home we had her drop us off at BiLo to get some groceries, this was the leg of the trip that was alittle crazy, bc we bough a huge bag of dog food and water etc.. We then got back on the bus with West asleep in the front and all the groceries in the back, got dropped and walked home with Thomas on Tommy's shoulders. Whew, we were glad to be home and in the AC! There were things that were good about being on the bus, of course the children loved not having to be in their car seats, I could nurse West whenever he wanted, we did not have to worry about parking and I was not snapping at Tommy to slow down. lol It was a lot of work though with having to pick the stroller up to get on the bus. We are so thankful though for our stroller, it barely fit down the aisle but did, even on the trolley, any other double jogger, especially a side by side would not have fit and would have had to be totally broken down to get on. Would we do it again, sure we would, that many stops in one day, probably not!

wow...very impressive!! you have so much patience!!
You are indeed a very brave woman to tackle the bus with so many bus changes and different destinations. I bet it really gave you an appreciation for people that have to take the bus everywhere they go.
wow~ that sounds like quite the adventure~ I love that about europe- you dont even need a car! that stinks about the stroller though-glad it was a success~
