Check up day!
Whew...Busy day we have had! West had his 2 year check up with Dr. Hutton and I had Thomas' confrence with his teacher. First West;
Weight- 23 pounds. >5%
Height- 34 5/8" 50%
HC- 18 3/4 25%
He looked and did great. Both of my boys love their Dr, and we do too! He was running around and more than happy to have her look, listen and prod. We have been a little concerned about his speech but she said he's doing great. His comprehension is way beyond 2 and his other skills are off the charts. We did decide on another HIB vaccine but no flu deal. She was comfortable with us not getting it so we passed. Thankfully this year we have all been super healthy. We can't believe he'll be 2 tomorrow!!!
Thomas' teacher and I had the best time chatting about him today. She is very type A, which I am, so I loved all of her details!! I was thrilled to hear that he is in the upper 50% of the class and doing wonderfully!! Needs a little work on his fine motor skills but other than that he's perfect. She said in no way shape or form would she hold him back. She said he is always super kind, ready to share and loves to try new things. After our experience last year and I am beyond thankful this Thanksgiving season for a wonderful teacher and new school! Thomas is thriving! Nothing better than hearing that both of your boys are right on track!

West!

My sweet Westy will be 2 on Saturday! West, Westy, Turkey or Rotten are all names that we call him:) West is full of life. Loves ALL animals. Squeals and does his hands in a "come here motion" when he sees them. Even birds in a parking lot. He Loves to be outside, loves balls, trains and cars, but probably the most loved are balls. He is a great napper but still wakes at night some. Still sleeps with us and yes, still nursing! A good eater, although going through a picky stage now. Totally thinks he's 4, and does everything Thomas does. He's been able to navigate our swingset and climbing wall by himself for months now. Wants to use the potty, and says "mon' tee tee!' when he's trying to get it to come out- Still not a big talker. Does a lot of "uh-uh-" when he wants something. Has a little over a dozen words and 2 two word phrases. "Let go!" and "Bird poop!' How that second one came to be I don't know.. A couple times in the day he will look so sad and say "Dadda..." "Dadda..." he loves Tommy and will call his name several times during the day. Although he is full of life and loves Daddy he still has a fierce need for momma, and sometimes a lot of me! When we take him to the nursery now, he may go in and stay but he wont get down the whole time..Makes the nursery worker hold him and he calls my name often. We feel so blessed that the Lord has trusted us with him. He's so precious and I could just eat every ounce of him! Happy Birthday sweet Westy!

Lot's of random!
Lot's of random shots from the past few days. The boys were really wanting to go into the playground at waterfront park when we went to take our Christmas pictures. Arnt they sweet!
They love Monday mornings when the "big trucks" come along to get all of our trash. Here they are this am looking out the window as they go by.
They like it when we put a board up like a ramp so they can race their cars and trains down it. It's so fun to watch them play together now!
Today we went to Caroline and Kate's house to play. The children had a wonderful time playing inside and out. It was great to catch up with Jodie and snuggle baby Kate.

2009 Pumpkin Pictures with Caroline and Kate!

We had such a fun afternoon. Each year since the babies ( Thomas and Caroline ) were 6 months old we have been taking pumpkin pictures of them together! We look forward to this every year! This year was a little crazy and we just couldn't seem to get there together so we created our own pumpkin patch in my front yard. We may do this every year bc it was much less stressful than going to the actual pumpkin patch!
